Good Tide Cannabis Infused Gummies Review

Good Tide Cannabis Infused Gummies line of edibles come in three different flavor and effect combinations, Uplifting Pineapple, Balanced Guava and Mango Mellow. These are some of the best tasting gummies we’ve tried.

Each gummy has 10mg of THC per serving, for a total of 100mg THC per package. These gummies are formulated with botanical terpenes to help create more specific effects. They use solventless hash rosin to infuse the properties of specific strains. The Sativa we tried was made with Super Lemon Haze rosin, for example.

Good Tide Gummies options

The package is a cylinder that is fully compostable and recyclable. There is a button you push in to separate th top from the bottom of the packaging. Inside are the gummies and they hardly take up half of the package, not sure why there is so much extra packaging. Not too much pressure needed to open it, which is a blessing for folks with limited hand strength or arthritis.

Dosing & Flavor

The smell from the container is a strong real fruit smell. Good Tide gummies are made with real fruit ingredients and natural flavors for authentic, true-to-fruit flavor. With so many gummies having candy-like unnatural or artificial flavors, these are are a nice change to taste like the actual fruit. Of the edibles we’ve tried, this is the closest one has come to tasting like you are biting a piece of actual fruit.

Unlike the Kiva Camino gummies which are smooth and see-through, these have a more of a fruit chew appearance and a very light sugar-covered texture. They are easy to bite through and melt in the mouth more easily than most gummies. They are soft and have a very pleasant mouth feel.

These gummies contain Sugar, Tapioca Syrup, Water, Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavoring, Pectin (Pectin, Sodium Citrate), Coconut Oil, Cannabis Extract, Citric Acid, Mallic Acid, Carnauba Wax, and Sunflower Lecithin. Since they don’t contain gelatin, they are vegan friendly which is always a cruelty free plus.

They are gluten free, and dairy free, but they do contain coconut so not totally nut free. The gummies are not individually wrapped and need to be cut in half for a 5mg dose or in quarters for a 2.5mg dose. They are soft and round so it is quite easy cutting them in half.

As we always recommend with new edibles, try half of your usual dose before trying a full dose as you never know how strong something will effect you. The gummies are easy to cut or bite in half to give a 5mg dose of THC, then to split again for a 2.5mg dose. As everyone is different, it’s important to try a partial dose first to see how you react to new edibles.

Since I am experienced with edibles and my usual dose is 10mg of THC, I began with half of a half of one piece, with 5mg THC. After having only light effects for that trial run, I then moved closer to my usual dose on another day, taking one whole gummy for a total dose of 10mg THC. I still found the effects on the mild side, so I found that for me a 12.5 mg dose gives me a solid strength effect. I sometimes use one and a one eighth pieces for a 12.5mg dose of THC when I want a stronger effect, or if I have recently eaten or if I’ve taken CBD, which can tamp down the effects.

Effects

The effects were along the lines of what you’d expect from a Sativa strain like Super Lemon Haze. Uplifting, energetic, creative and a little bit spacey. The impacts are perfect for being able to function well with a boost of expansion for the head. The effects I experienced were closely aligned with the effects I’ve enjoyed with similar Sativa gummies, with very little body focused effects.

Excellent real-fruit forward flavor profiles and specific effects are what good edibles are meant to provide when we want to elevate. Good Tides cannabis edibles do a great job on both counts and set a high standard when it comes to natural flavors.

Kiva Camino Uplifting, Chill & Sleep Cannabis Gummies Review

Kiva is well known for their cannabis infused chocolate bars and Terra bites chocolate covered blueberries and espresso beans. Their Camino range of edibles brings the quality of Kiva to cannabis gummies. These gummies are not just infused with distilled THC but are formulated with natural terpenes to create specific effects.

Camino cannabis gummies come in various formulas, each with a different flavor. The Uplifting formula is a Pineapple Habanero flavor, the Chill formula is a Wild Berry flavor, and the Sleep is a Blueberry flavor. Uplifting, Sleep and Chill each contain 100mg THC per package, with each serving containing 5mg of THC.

Kiva Camino Cannabis Infused GummiesHero Marquee

My local dispensary charges $22 for these, making it $2.20 for each 10mg serving of THC, the same price point as the Kiva Cannabis Chocolate bars with 100mg of THC. These gummies do contain gelatin, so they are not vegetarian or vegan friendly.

Dosing & Flavor

Being someone who prefers the effects of energy-stimulating Sativa and who enjoys spicy food, I was very happy to see the Pineapple Habanero flavor of the Uplifting formula gummies. The tin is one you push down to turn and open.

The smell from the tin is a wonderful natural pineapple smell. Some edibles smell artificial or smell like a bag of weed with some flavoring added. These smell just like pineapple. They have a lovely opaque appearance and a soft texture that is easy to bite through.

As we always recommend with new edibles, try half of your usual dose before trying a full dose as you never know how strong something will effect you. You can always have more but you can’t have less once you’ve eaten it. For those new to edibles, a good rule is to always start first with a very low does, like 2.5mg of THC, then wait two hours to gauge the effects before having a little more. The Camino edibles are easy to bite in half to give a 2.5mg dose. Since I am experienced with edibles and my usual dose is 10mg, I began with 5mg. After having only light effects for that trial run, I then moved to my usual 10mg dose.

I love the taste of the Uplifting gummies. I am usually not a fan of pineapple as too many products use an artificial flavor of pineapple I find unpleasant. The Uplifting Camino gummies have a wonderfully mild, natural pineapple taste. I found it difficult to find any cannabis oil taste. It starts with the sweet and sour fruit taste, then comes the heat from the habanero. I found the heat very mild yet not so mild it is unnoticeable. If you are very sensitive to spicy pepper flavors, just try to little to gauge your comfort. I love the heat level and that it lingers in the mouth for a bit after the gummy has dissolved. Delicious, one of the few edibles that I would buy for the flavor even if there was no THC involved.

Tip: If you find the taste too spicy, have some of your favorite milk at hand – coconut, soy, almond or dairy will do. Milk can help coat the tongue and can help put out the fire from the spiciness. Nut butters, like peanut butter or almond butter also can help tame the flames. Rice, pasta or bread can also help reduce the burn. Water doesn’t help hardly at all, a sugary drink will help more to reduce the spicy feeling.

For the Bliss, the flavor is a natural lemonade with fruit flavors and has the same smooth texture and soft mouth feel as the other Camino gummies. Read the full review here.

The Chill’s Berry taste is great also, if a somewhat non-specific berry flavor, as is the Blueberry. The taste is not artificial, it’s mild and maintains its good flavor through the aftertaste.

Effects

Uplifting: The effects I experienced were of the uplifting kind – feeling a boost to creativity, a bit of an energy boost and an uplifted mood. I do find the effects more mild than I might like, so I do sometimes boost the effect either with a low dose edible like these 2.5mg/dose gummies or Mary’s Medicinals transdermal pen.

Bliss: The effects for me were not very strong, a mild body high and slightly stoned head. As a budtender told me, they can follow your mood or your activity, as they are able to go both a relaxing and a more uplifting way, depending on the person.

Chill: Just as it implies, the effects of chill are relaxing and anxiety reducing. A budtender told me they are her favorite go-to when they are ready to chill. I am sensitive to strong Indica-type effects as they easily lead me to couch lock or sleep. I found Chill to be relaxing but functional with some mild couch pull and a nice stress relieving impact. Next to the Uplifting, the Chill is my second favorite in term of effect. Perfect for a weekend afternoon or to relax after a busy day.

Enjoyable flavor profiles and type-specific effects are exactly what I look for in an edible and Kiva’s Camino gummies do a great job on both counts.

Wally Drops Watermelon Cannabis Infused Hard Candy Review

Wally Drops Cannabis Infused hard candy line of edibles come in eleven different flavor combinations. They all seem to be made with a hybrid mix of cannabis, with no indication of Sativa, Indica or any strain names. These are some of the most Jolly Rancher tasting edibles we’ve tried.

There are some with just THC, some with just CBD and some flavors with THC and CBD. Each candy has 10mg of THC per serving, for a total of 100mg THC per package.

The package is a child proof resealable pouch that can be difficult to open if you have limited hand strength or flexibility.

Dosing & Flavor

The smell from the container is a strong supercharged fruit smell. Wally Drops hard candies are made with sugar, corn syrup, water, coconut oil, and THC. For some reason they don’t mention what is used to flavor the candies, but I’m guessing it is artificial flavor based on the taste. Of the edibles we’ve tried, this is the closest one has come to tasting like the strong flavors of a Jolly Rancher candy.

They don’t contain gelatin or other animal products, so it seems they are vegan friendly which is always a cruelty free plus.

They are gluten free, and dairy free, but they do contain coconut so not totally nut free. The candies are not individually wrapped and need to be cut in half for a 5mg dose or in quarters for a 2.5mg dose. They are hard so it is not easy cutting them in half, use caution. Not easy to bite through either, but they do eventually melt in the mouth.

As we always recommend with new edibles, try half of your usual dose before trying a full dose as you never know how strong something will effect you. As everyone is different, it’s important to try a partial dose first to see how you react to new edibles. Not easy with such a hard candy.

Since I am experienced with edibles and my usual dose is 10mg of THC, I began with half of one piece, with 5mg THC. After having only light effects for that trial run, I then moved closer to my usual dose on another day, taking one whole candy for a total dose of 10mg THC which was fine.

Effects

The effects were along the lines of what you’d expect from a dominant Sativa strain with an uplifting and happy effect. Since hybrid formulas can vary widely, you may get different effects with different batches, which is a drawback. But overall I was very happy with the uplifting effect without any couch lock or heavy body impact.

Dixie Tropic Twist Pineapple Indica Cannabis Gummies Review

Dixie TropicTwist solo

The edibles market is saturated with gummies, however, I  have never seen Pineapple Gummies that were specifically Indica or Sativa. So, I was totally excited to try a less common flavor in the cannabis type that I enjoy most.

The Tropic Twist gummies are shaped like balls cut in half. They are a faint yellow color and and heavily coated with sugar. The taste was delicious with no detectable medicinal taste. I loved this gummy’s firm, chewy texture.

Dixie Tropic Twist gummies come in a container of ten 10mg pieces. I took my normal dose of 40mg.

After an hour, I felt a small, light high. Surprisingly, I was very active after taking this Indica strain edible. However, I kept on waiting for the high to get stronger. But it never did.

So the following day, I regrouped and took a larger, 50mg dose to see if I just needed a boost to my THC intake. Maybe this edible is less strong than other cannabis gummies on the market? After an hour of waiting for stronger effects I was left disappointed. Again, there was just a slight tingle of a buzz. A whisper of a high. So, I waited some more. Literally saying to myself, “Am I high?” “Is this it?” After 90 minutes, the buzz is still very, very light. “Ok, it’s the product, this is not working for me”.

After trying a second time eating a stronger dose, I’m left searching for a high to write about. All I feel is a light tingling feeling in my head and my wallet.

If you’re looking to get stoned, Dixie Tropic Twist Gummies are not for you. If you are new to edibles and want to experience a very light buzz, these pineapple gummies are perfect.

Dixie Tropic Twist Other Gummies

Now I’ve learned that when I am helped by an unfamiliar budtender, I will ask three questions:

1) Is it strain specific?

2) Is it strong?

3) Have you personally tried it?
